Gas Water Nothing

In honor of Canada Day, Hank’s Saloon (home of $3 draught Original Sin!) put on a lovely little tribute to the great man himself, Stompin’ Tom Connors. Matt Verrilli and Alex Battles did a great job fronting the band and singing. When they ran out of songs, we got to hear “The Marten Hartwell Story”, “Bud the Spud”, and “The Hockey Song” a second time. No complaints.

April, Raji (actually Canadian), and I decorated T-shirts in honor of the event – a detail of mine appears above.

Before that, we ate at a nice new vegan restaurant in Park Slope, the V-Spot and saw some rather underwhelming indie rock in Prospect Park (actually, Matt Pond PA was pretty good), a view of which appears above.
