i agree – it’s a great sketch. glad april didn’t mind you posting it. we look the way we look. none of us is posing for a magazine cover. i look back at some of my own self-portraits and wonder if that’s really who i am. i know it is, whether i like it or not.
I guess my it’s not only about unflattering – it’s really not particularly accurate. This is a problem in most of my portraits. I have trouble producing a genuine likeness, flattering or otherwise. (Most of my drawings are of strangers, though, where it doesn’t matter so much!)
Geez, I LOVE this. I don’t know if it’s flattering or not, but it’s a wonderful sketch.
