Gas Water Nothing

Union Street Redux

I drew a very similar view last April. There are a couple others (this and also this) from the same spot, all sketched during downtime on my Coop shifts. This picture is my Thing-a-Day for February 6th.

  1. Beautiful! I love how scrunched up the cars are.

Jessica says you are “quite the artist”.

  4. Love the bumper-to-bumper cars – they seem just a little disgruntled at being squished together like that. I also really like the way you’ve “unfinished” the largest building. Didn’t actually notice it was only roughly filled in for quite a while, as my eye was drawn to those cars … you are very good at this.

  5. This is way cool. I love the excellent drawing and the bright color that ties it all up! Love your subway sketches too!

  6. I love each one more than the one before—-and I wouldn’t have thought that possible! This is incredibly luminous—you are so on a roll, Jason!

  7. Thanks E, M, L!

It seems when I draw cars these days, they look like they’re made of dough. Oh well.

  8. Great stuff, Jason! I love the lively colors and how “loose” you are!
