So I woke up way too early yesterday morning and dragged myself down to the King’s County Courthouse. I’ve lived in Brooklyn for eight years, and only just got my first call-up. For a municipal institution, it was surprisingly fine—instructions were audible and (mostly) sensible, staff were polite and professional, seats were comfortable, and they have wi-fi! I didn’t even get interviewed. I’m guessing a web developer with a weird-ish last name who fills out forms with a brown Pitt pen is probably not an ideal juror. Anyway, now I’m off the hook for another eight years. I would like to serve on a jury some time in my life, though.
The picture below is Borough Hall, not the actual courthouse I was in.

I’ve been on a jury once, Philadelphia municipal court, for a civil case. One week. Medical malpractice. Being on a jury is an experience everyone should have at least once in their life.

I love this drawing and your style in general. I’m excited to see that you are still posting frequently.

I was on a jury once and got pissed off as the guy pleaded guilty and we were not needed to make these momentous decisions that I suppose juries have to make. We were all sent away and saw no action.

Oh how exciting. I love Judge Judy!!
This is such a brilliant drawing, and I know I’ve said it before the truck is the icing on the cake. Oh perhaps I said cherry? Anyway, it’s both.

Thanks for the comments, everyone!
I am especially proud of that truck. It came out uncannily well.
And one of these years I will be proud to serve on a jury.
